Crude oil futures up on firm overseas cues and Lead futures up on demand

Crude oil futures prices on Tuesday rose marginally by 0.3 per cent to Rs 6,293 per barrel as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firming trend in the Asian region.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil prices for delivery in July traded Rs 21, or 0.33 per cent higher at Rs 6,306 per barrel, with a business turnover of 2,058 lots.

Lead futures prices on Tuesday rose by 0.21 per cent to Rs 121.60 per kg on strong spot demand amid a firming trend in base metals overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in July traded 25 paise, or 0.21 per cent, higher at Rs 121.60 per kg, with a turnover of 1,831 lots.
