The rupee was at 64.34/35 to the dollar versus its Friday close of 65.24/25. It rose to 64.30 in session, its highest since Aug. 28," Reuters reported.

Today in market Axis Bank, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, SBI and L & T from 5 to 2.8 per cent as heavyweight stocks are seeing strength. However BHEL, Dr Reddy's Lab, ONGC, Sesa Goa and heavyweight stocks like BPCL recorded from 3.4 to 0.2 per cent.
