After a considerable measure of battle, the stock market finished lower. The BSE Sensex was down 115.13 points or 0.4 percent at 28071.93, and the NSE Nifty slipped 26.15 points or 0.3 percent at 8516.90. Around 1626 shares have propelled, 1274 shares declined, and 153 shares were unaltered.
Tata Steel, Hindalco, Coal India, SBI and M&M were top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers were Hero, GAIL, ONGC, Tata Motors and Infosys.
