After the bad day for the Greece economy, the stock market gained its strength in the last session. The Sensex was down 166.69 points ends at 27645.15 and Nifty was down 54.40 points ends at 8326.70.
ICICI Bank, HUL, Dr Reddy’s Lab, HDFC and L&T were the top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers were Maruti, Sun Pharma, Hindalco and Tata Motors.
On the positive front, FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever rallied almost 2 percent to Rs. 905. ITC too added 0.4 percent to Rs. 309.
Punjab National Bank jumped 1.5 percent to Rs. 138, and BPCL advanced a percent to Rs. 871.
